Beth is the Program Assistant for the Open Door Education Foundation. In this part-time position, Beth is responsible for all administrative functions of the Open Door, as well as being the database administrator, scholarship alumni coordinator and assisting with the Open Door logistics for the NACCB annual conferences.

Prior to joining Open Door, Beth was the Membership Assistant for the National Association of Computer Consultant Businesses (NACCB), the Open Door’s parent organization.

Before NACCB, Beth was the Program Coordinator for the National Community Pharmacy Association. There, she worked on the coordination of disease state management pharmacy programs. These programs were designed to help community pharmacists develop new market niches in disease management and wellness.

Beth attended Howard University, majoring in Medical Technology. She also attended the Northern Virginia Community College taking courses in Business Administration.

Who opened doors for me: Undoubtedly my mother. My father died when I was ten and after that time, my mother became my dearest friend in life. She has shown me so much and has always been there for me, especially during those tough teenage years.

Why I work for Open Door: I feel it is a true honor to be able to play a small role in the lives of those looking to further their technology education.

When I’m not working for Open Door: I enjoy cooking and reading; that is when I can find the time to read. It’s a little difficult with an wonderful eighteen month old daughter.

My greatest happiness: Spending time with my husband, daughter, family and friends.
